Bob and “Alix” ( Alexandra ) met at a friends party in 2011.They instantly clicked and had a chemistry they had never experienced in their life. They began dating shortly after, and became officially boyfriend and girlfriend at a Bears game on October 16th, 2011, when Alix looked at Bob and said, “Bob Heller, will you be my boyfriend?” He was capture by her stunning beauty, charm, and drive for life and of course said yes.
Maui is “their place.” When they visited the island a few years into their relationship, it was their first vacation as a couple and Bob proposed on the northern part of the island, specifically Nakalele Point. It was very important to them to start their marriage together on the Island of Maui.
Alexandra & Bob were surrounded by 100 of their closest family and friends on their gorgeous August afternoon at Olowalu Plantation Home. The love and commitment of their friends and family was like no other, one friend even flew 13,000 miles round trip from Singapore to attend their nuptials.
Alexandra had classically elegant taste with her choices in decor for the big day. The guests were surrounded by white lush garden roses, and ranunculus surrounded by tropical greens. Accents of gold tied everything together beautifully. Chilled tropical cocktails greeted the guests as they arrived at the Plantation Home and the rest was a night to remember.
They sum up their relationship with the infamous Dr. Seuss quote: “ We’re all a little weird. And life is a little weird. And when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours, we join with them and fall into mutually satisfying weirdness – and call it love – true love.”
